Dear Customer

Please be advised we have received the below notification from EE regarding a change to their code of practice.

Please see below a link to the updated version of EE’s code of Practice.

https://www.fonix.com/fonix/ee_code_of_practice_2018_08_14.pdf

The only change to highlight in this version relates to ‘Higher Cost’ content services as outlined below.

9.4. All ‘Higher Cost’ Content Services, specified in Section 9.1, must provide the End User with an on-screen PIN flow (as specified in section 12.9) for single purchase and subscription services. This requirement (9.4) does not apply if the End User has previously created (before the Payforit payment pages) a username and password for the Content Service. The following services may be granted an exemption from this rule (9.4) following review and written confirmation from EE;
9.4.1. Transport
9.4.2. Ticketing (only for physical events or service)
9.4.3. Car Parking

This change is to be applied with immediate effect for new services and applied to existing services by 1st October 2018.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Kind regards

Fonix Compliance Team
